Brothers Do not be Surprised that the World Hates You

13 Do not marvel, brothers, if the world hates you. 1 John 3:13 (LSB)

There are many ministries in our time that are run by people who have either forgotten that friendship with the world is a sin or they are deliberately overlooking it. If a ministry operates in such a way that the world loves it then there is at least one missing component in it, which is obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that Christians cannot be friends wirh the world. Why? Satan is the one who dominates the evil world system, which is in rebellion against God (John 14:30). Therefore, the world not only hates Jesus, but also those who follow Him…. Continue reading

Headed for the Rocks?

(Lee Duigon – News With Views) Where are we headed, as a country? Two of this week’s nooze stories suggest the ship is headed for the rocks.

I’m sure that when we created the Dept. of Homeland Security (looking more and more like one of the all-time bad ideas), we never thought it would wind up slithering its tentacles into our neighborhood schools. Oh, but they are!

As if it weren’t more than bad enough to have the FBI “investigating” parents who complain about their local school board’s Far Left sex-grooming policies, now the DHS is getting involved…. Continue reading

Catherine Herridge Shares Union Statement Condemning CBS News’ Seizure of Her Notes

“She was pursuing stories that were unwelcomed by the Biden White House and many Democratic powerhouses, including the Hur report on Joe Biden’s diminished mental capacity, the Biden corruption scandal and the Hunter Biden laptop. She continued to pursue these stories despite reports of pushback from CBS executives, including CBS News President Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews,”

(Kristina Wong – Breitbart) Veteran investigative journalist Catherine Herridge, whom CBS News laid off last week, shared a statement on Friday that appeared to confirm that the network had seized notes from her office after she had been let go in an unusual and heavy-handed manner that called into question the network’s motives. Bethel’s Kris Vallotton Apologizes to Abuse Victims After Declaring His Love for Mike Bickle

“In his sermon, Valloton blasted the “culture of justice” that many in the church have regarding wanting to know the details of fallen leaders, including those who are “struggling” after multiple allegations of decades of predatory and pedophilic behavior.”

(Protestia) Bethel Church’s head prophet Kris Vallotton has apologized on Facebook to victims of Mike Bickle after declaring his love for the “struggling” disgraced IHOP founder in a recent church sermon without “express(ing) compassion for, or address(ing) the need for the protection of all victims of abuse and sexual misconduct that I see in and out of the Church.” Continue reading

Israel’s Netanyahu Presents First Official Post-Gaza War Plan

(Newsmax) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has presented a “day after” plan for Gaza, his first official proposal for when the war in the Hamas-run Palestinian territory ends.

According to the document, presented to members of Israel’s security cabinet on Thursday and seen by Reuters on Friday, Israel would maintain security control over all land west of Jordan, including the occupied West Bank and Gaza – territories where the Palestinians want to create an independent state. Trump pledges to defend Christianity against the left, which he says wants ‘to tear down crosses’

(Breitbart) Former President Donald Trump promised to use a second term in the White House to defend Christian values and even suggested he’d shield the faith’s central iconography, warning a convention of religious broadcasters on Thursday night that the left wants “to tear down crosses.”

“Remember, every communist regime throughout history has tried to stamp out the churches, just like every fascist regime has tried to co-opt them and control them. And, in America, the radical left is trying to do both,” Trump told hundreds of cheering attendees at the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention in Nashville. I’ll Vote for Anyone Who Promises to Nuke the Dept. of Education

“Rick mentions the effort to “keep parents in the dark” when it comes to what their kids are being taught. That’s been brought to the fore in the last few years in parental battles with schools that are teaching Critical Race Theory. In many cases, administrators and teachers aren’t merely coy about what they are teaching; they’re completely dishonest.”

(Stephen Kruiser – PJ Media) It should come as no surprise to regular readers here that I think Republican candidates in 2024 should lead with Joe Biden’s border nightmare when attacking Democrats. It’s both a humanitarian and national security crisis and this country can’t survive another four years of open borders madness. Continue reading

Huge Times Square Billboard Depicts Alien Attack on Police

(Mary Dowling) Alvin Bragg, a pro-criminal District Attorney in charge of prosecutions, set illegal aliens free after they savagely attacked two police officers. They were later rounded up only because the backlash was harsh and swift.

Job Creator’s network has a new billboard in criminal-owned Times Square depicting the attack. It says:

“Hey, Joe! If cops aren’t safe because of your open borders, nobody is,” reads the billboard, showing video of NYPD officers being beaten by a group of illegals outside a taxpayer-funded shelter last month. Continue reading

CBS faces uproar after seizing investigative journalist’s files

“A source within the union, SAG-AFTRA, confirmed that it has raised this controversy with CBS and remains extremely concerned about the effect of this action on journalistic practices and source confidentiality.”

(Jonathan Turley – The Hill) “Anyone who isn’t confused really doesn’t understand the situation.” Those words, from CBS icon Edward R. Murrow, came to mind this week after I spoke with journalists at the network.

There is trouble brewing at Black Rock, the headquarters of CBS, after the firing of Catherine Herridge, an acclaimed investigative reporter…. Continue reading

No, Jesus Was Not Born Again

“Such false teachings must not only be refuted but also exposed for what they truly are, a perilous departure from the gospel of Jesus Christ, a gospel that promises life not through mystical rebirths in the afterlife but through faith in the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.”

(The Dissenter) I often hear charismatic Word of Faith preachers twist Genesis and the Creation narrative of God making man in His own image—and how man and animals were created in such a way that like kind begets like kind—to support their false “little gods” doctrine…. Continue reading

Can Trump Win?

“Better to have senility in the White House than Trump or any Republican. No matter how bad things get for Joe Biden on a variety of fronts, there will be no dissent from committed Democrats. That kind of blind loyalty is something Putin and Xi would admire. No thought, no honest assessment of damage to the country. It’s party above everything else.”

(Bill O’Reilly) In just over eight months, the United States will change drastically. If President Biden or a progressive replacement wins, kiss traditional America goodbye and welcome in a brave new world of high taxes, permissive social behavior, and marketplace outcomes based on skin color and gender. John MacArthur Rebukes Alistair Begg in New Q&A +’We’ve Been Friends for 45 Years…And Now He’s Going to be Defined By That’

(Protestia) Grace Community Church Pastor John MacArthur has weighed in after longtime friend and prominent pastor Alistair Begg was dropped from his Shepherds Conference, after Begg famously urged a woman to attend an LGBTQ wedding, and then doubled and tripled down with some bible twisting so bad it made children cry and crows scatter.

Begg has been a frequent speaker at Grace Community Church events, including speaking at the Shepherds Conference in 2015 and 2023, and a regular guest lecturer for the Doctor of Ministry program at The Master’s Seminary. Continue reading

Reprobate Mind

28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to an unfit mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, violent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the righteous requirement of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. Romans 1:28-32 (LSB)

The word translated as “unfit” in the LSB rendering of Romans 1:28 is the Greek word ἀδόκιμον. This anarthrous adjective means, “unapproved, unworthy, spurious, or worthless.” In the context of Romans 1:28 it is speaking of those who do not have a sense of pending judgment…. Continue reading

As Gov’t Redefines Culture We Suffer in Mind and Spirit

“It seems as though the changes that have occurred have impacted each and every facet of our lives. As a result, many of us are suffering, often silently, in mind and in spirit.”

(James Hirsen – Newsmax) Are you feeling like the whole world’s gone crazy?

You’re not alone.

So many changes in such a short time and most of the changes don’t seem to have been for the good. Continue reading

John MacArthur Blasts The Gospel Coalition: “Woke,” “Useless Entity,” “Like Christianity Astray”

(The Dissenter) We at The Dissenter have been warning about The Gospel Coalition (TGC) and its clones like Together for the Gospel (T4G) for years and years upon years and concluded that these organizations were compromised in such a way that they shouldn’t even be called “Christian.” Yet, Evangelical churches around the globe still flocked to these organizations because of the notoriety of those involved in them. Names like Tim Keller, Don Carson, Al Mohler, Russell Moore, etc., are like Apostles in the eyes of today’s compromised church leadership. Continue reading

Christianizing the Climate Cult

(David Morrill – Protestia) “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire” is no doubt a familiar idiom for discerning Christians. For climate alarmists, the idiom is no doubt, “Where there’s smoke, there’s an opening for Marxism.”

The latest smoke pointing to another SBC seminary fire came in the form of a video of a pagan earth worship ritual performed at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Atmospheric scientist, evangelical Christian, and aggressive Twitter blocker Katharine Hayhoe – along with five other panelists – was subject to the bizarre ritual before the discussion commenced. The Theory That Mail-in Voting Is Secure Just Died a Horrible Death

“something doesn’t quite smell right here. I’m not an expert, but if this was just related to a code issue, how is it possible for people who didn’t vote by mail and never even requested a ballot to show up as having been counted?”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Something screwy happened in the Nevada primary, and it utterly destroys the claim that the 2020 election was the most fair and secure in history.

Because of the COVID pandemic, a whopping 43% of the votes cast in the 2020 election were mail-in ballots…. Continue reading

Is genuine Christianity a life or is it a doctrine?

6 In pointing out these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. 1 Timothy 4:6 (LSB)

From January 1986 until the late fall of 2005 I probably would have, if asked, responded to the question in the title that Christianity is a life or at least a relationship while doctrine, though unnecessary, helps us understand that. I didn’t really believe during that time that doctrine was of any real value. Why?… Continue reading

Report: James Biden Used Brother to Promote Americore

“House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer earlier this month connected President Biden and Americore based on a check for $200,000 James Biden wrote to his brother on March 2, 2018, the day the hospital operator provided a personal loan of $200,000 to their bank account.”

(Sandy Fitzgerald – Newsmax) Ties between President Joe Biden’s brother James Biden and the bankrupt hospital operator Americore are under renewed scrutiny as the House Oversight and Accountability Committee pursues its impeachment investigation and as the younger Biden’s committee interview is set for Wednesday. Preston Sprinkle Promotes Heresies That Lead People Away From True Repentance and Faith, and Straight to Hell

“The Scriptures speak directly to sexual behaviors and desires, consistently identifying them as sin when they fall outside the God-ordained bounds of marriage between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24Matthew 19:4-6, ESV). To suggest that the Bible accommodates an identity founded on homosexual preference or “orientation” is to misrepresent its teachings.”

(The Dissenter) Preston Sprinkle, one of the original advisory board members of Revoice, the “gay Christian” movement within Evangelical churches, has been instrumental in shifting the church’s doctrinal stance on homosexuality and other aberrant sexualities…. Continue reading

Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision

(Joel B. Pollak – Breitbart) Former President Donald Trump must pay nearly half a billion dollars as a bond to New York State before he can appeal the ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron last week that he must pay $354 million in fines — over $450 million, with interest — for fraud.

Critics have noted that Trump is the only person ever to be sued under an obscure New York fraud statute that does not require any harm be done, and that effectively criminalizes the everyday practice of real estate valuations in negotiations with banks. Continue reading

Biden Admin Finally Heeds Warning Signs, Prepares to Hit the Brakes on Electric Vehicle Transition

“Give the market and supply chains a chance to catch up, maintain a customer’s ability to choose, let more public charging come online, let the industrial credits and Inflation Reduction Act do their thing and impact the industrial shift.”

(George C. Upper III – The Western Journal) It’s an election year, and that mean President Joe Biden will be breaking promises he made to people who will vote for him no matter what he does in hopes of winning the votes of others who might actually retain enough critical thinking ability to look elsewhere for leadership. Continue reading
